Where finance works for the benefit of the economy, not the other way around. Where delivery of social value is the key driver which leads to improved quality of life for individuals and a more just, inclusive, and equitable society.  Where a healthy social economy is an essential ingredient in the delivery of any economic strategy. 

We support social purpose business models which harness the trading and commercial capabilities of entrepreneurs and embeds them within their local communities in such a way that they can deliver solutions to some of society’s most difficult challenges.

Our aim at Seebohm Hill is to bring together the financial resources, skills, and capabilities within the business community to enable social purpose businesses to operate sustainably while growing their impact, and for social investors to earn reasonable social and financial returns.

We do this by: 

  1. Undertaking research and analysis that provides data and market intelligence on the social economy.  

  2. Highlighting key issues to be addressed and recommendations for new ways of achieving inclusive economic development.   

  3. Supporting an ecosystem of high growth companies across the Liverpool City Region.

  4. Connecting ideas, people, and money to grow social impact. 

  5. Representing Liverpool City Region’s social economy in local, regional, national, and international forums. 

Our work is currently focused in the North West of England and Liverpool City Region.
